Pillow Case Competition Ends Tomorrow

On Friday 8th March Mrs Matsangou launched a ‘Make Your Own Story Pillow’ competition. There is still time to enter but the deadline is tomorrow!

The children are invited to decorate a pillow/pillowcase in any way that entices them to read. This could be a drawing of a favourite book character(s), quotes from their favourite books or the front cover of their favourite book - the opportunities are endless. Children can draw, paint, sew, stick or print onto a pillowcase. This must be their own work (with the help of a grown-up) but not a shop bought printed design.

Judging will take place on Monday 25th March 2024 and the winners will be announced during our Values assemblies on Thursday 28th March 2024.

Easter Egg Tombola & Mufti Day Reminder

Tomorrow is a Mufti Day in return for providing some Easter chocolate for the Easter Egg tombola which will take place after school next Wednesday. Please support us in raising money for the school by sending your child to school tomorrow with an Easter Egg or some Easter Chocolate. Thank you.
If your child is doing PE tomorrow, they can still wear Mufti as long as they are to still able take part in PE with what they are wearing.

Achieve With Me

Our final Achieve With Me sessions take place a few weeks into the Summer Term. This is an opportunity for parents to come into school for a short amount of time to see something their child is learning and to possibly help them with a task. The focus for these sessions will be non-core learning which is any subject that is not English or Maths. So, you may be supporting your child with a historical task, something musical, a cultural experience, creating some art, navigation…the list is endless.
If you are able to come along, the timings are 9am-9.30am. See the dates below:

Monday 29th April - Foundation Stage
Tuesday 30th April - Year 1 & Year 3
Wednesday 1st May - Year 4
Thursday 2nd May - Year 5 & Year 6
Friday 3rd May - Year 2

It has been lovely to see our younger children wearing the new PE Hoodies which have been funded by the Friends of Woodland View - they look fantastic! We have received lots of positive feedback so far, however some parents have commented that the neck hole is quite tight on their child as they take the hoodie off. It is important that we hear about these issues - thank you. We have fed this back to Mapac and we are awaiting a response.
We are expecting the final delivery Key Stage 2 Hoodies soon, so we will get them out as soon as they arrive!
