  • Values Awards - Honesty - 4/4/25

    Published 10/04/25

On the last Friday before the Easter holiday, we celebrated one of our school values - Honesty. Mr Horsley led our special assembly, where each of the Honesty winners - 2 from each class, nominated by their teachers - danced down our famous red carpet to hear the words of their teachers explaining why they had been selected for the Honesty awards.

Our children were highly supportive of the winners, high-fiving each child as they came down the red carpet to accept their awards.

  • Year 6 NFL Flag – County

    Published 04/04/25

On Friday, a team of Year 6 children represented the school in a county NFL Flag competition in Wellingborough. After only starting the sport in late February, it has been inspiring to see the team make such amazing progress in learning the rules and skills that are required to play the game. They have been practising during and after-school and have worked really hard to learn the game.

At the competition, it was the first time that all of our children had ever played a game of NFL Flag! They got off to an amazing start, winning 21-0 in a very commanding performance! They followed this up with three other outstanding victories, scoring with flair on offence and making game-winning stops on defence! By the end of the group stages, the team had finished first in the table, going unbeaten against all the other schools who were taking part! This meant that the children had already qualified for the regional finals (which will take place in Nottingham in early May)! In a 1st/2nd place final, the team were unfortunately beaten in a close, competitive game that came down to the wire at the end!

This is an outstanding achievement and we were thoroughly impressed and inspired by the children's enjoyment and achievements so far in the sport! We look forward to seeing them build on their amazing performances and seeing how far they can go at the regional stages in a few weeks' time! Well done to each of the children on this amazing achievement!
