  • Kindness Value Awards

    Published 20/12/24

This morning was our termly values awards and of course, at this time of year, it also had a festive twist. Mr Cadge had 'decked our hall!' Therefore, Mr Horsley conducted the awards from underneath a huge "Merry Christmas", inflatable archway. Festive tunes were played as the children danced down the red carpet to receive their awards and hear from the teachers as to why they had been selected for our term's value of... KINDNESS.

It was also a time to say a big thank you and farewell to Mrs Stawniczy, who is moving on to being a teacher nearby at Hartwell Primary. We may still see her briefly at the start of next term, but we wish her all the very best in her new role and will miss her skills and talents at Woodland View!

Miss Wagstaff shared a poem on our term's theme of Kindness.

I can choose to be kind,

    Each and every day.

I can choose to be kind,

    To everyone, in every way.

When I am kind to others,

I make the world a little brighter.

When I am kind to others,

I make my heart a little lighter.

So plant a seed of kindness,

    And watch the world bloom.

So plant a seed of kindness,

And we'll chase away the gloom.
