This morning we celebrated our CREATIVITY value awards. Mr Horsley led the two assemblies and the children were eager to find out and celebrate the achievements of the winners. Each of the teachers spoke passionately about the winners and the reasons for their selections.

Dear parents,
Welcome back!
We hope you all had a wonderful Easter break. It has been lovely to see the children back this week, working hard and showing enthusiasm towards their new curriculum themes!
On the final Thursday of the term we celebrated our Honesty Values Awards winners.
Mr Horsley led the celebration assemblies for KS1/FS and KS2, encouraging the children to dance down our famous red carpet to receive the coveted Honesty Value Awards. The children were wonderfully supportive of their peers and winners. Furthermore, we all enjoyed hearing the words of the teachers as they explained why each winner had been selected.
We also celebrated all the children who had both entered and won our Reading Pillowcase Competition. Here are a selection of winners and entries alongside Mrs Matsangou, Mrs Warren and Mrs Speirs who ran the competition. It was super to see the range of different books and creativity the children had demonstrated in creating their pillowcases.
Please enjoy the following video sideshow of ALL the entries.

Huge congratulations to all of our wonderful children who took the opportunity to be a part of the CCS Science Fair this week; they made us really proud!
It was incredible to see all of the amazing efforts and fantastic research that had gone into their investigations, and their presentations were very impressive. The behaviour of all of the children representing Woodland View was impeccable and this was acknowledged by the staff from CCS.
Thank you to all of the parents that came along and supported the event.
We really hope that the children enjoyed taking part and seeing other inspirational projects! We are delighted to have so many enthusiastic and budding scientists at our school.
Many thanks to all of those who took part,
Mrs Hodgson and Miss Brahimaj (Science leads)
Earlier today, a team of Year 6 children represented the school, and the district, at the Sportshall Athletics County Finals in Kettering. This event was made possible thanks to the children's immense second place finish at the district competition in January where they finished an impressive 2nd overall! Today was a chance to see how the squad matched up against other schools from across all of Northamptonshire.

At the end of last half-term we celebrated our values award winners. These were children who had demonstrated particular aptitude for our focus value of COOPERATION.
Mr Horsley led both the KS2 and KS1/FS awards and encouraged lots of dancing, as the children proceeded down our famous red carpet to recieve their awards. In each class, the teachers spoke about 2 of their children who had demonstrated positive behaviour that reflected our focus value of COOPERATION this term. Miss Wagstaff had a poem on the theme of cooperation and it was super to see the support given to the award winners by their peers and other members of the school.
