Group 4: Caving and Abseiling/Zip-lining!
Another amazing morning at the Pioneer Centre! Today Group 4 have had a great time caving and abseiling/zip-lining.
After a good night's sleep and a filling breakfast, our first activity of the day was caving. This is an artificial indoor structure that has been created with bumpy, dark and extremely narrow tunnels. We explored the caves and tunnels and played some fun games while learning facts about stalagmites and stalactites. We rounded out the session with a game of sardines, with a few creative hiding places used for the game.
Our next activity was abseiling and zip-lining. We started by abseiling down the 20-foot tower that we climbed yesterday. This was quite scary but many overcame their fears and showed great bravery and confidence to complete the challenge. Once we had done this, it was time for the zip-lining. This was incredibly fun and was the source of much encouragement and many smiles from all of the group.
