Group 4 - Day 1 - abseiling/zipline and inflatable challenge

What a first day! Since arriving this morning, we have been incredibly busy with our first activities: abseiling/zipline and inflatable challenge.

Once we had settled in (explored the site, had our lunch, made our beds), we headed off to our first activities with our instructors! We started on the abseiling/zipline activities; this was a great chance for us to see the whole site from a high view and elevate some early nerves. After putting on our harnesses, we ascended the tower and began our abseils to the ground! This was great fun and I was incredibly impressed by all the children’s courage, kindness and support towards each other during each activity.

After a short rest, we then headed to our next activity - the inflatable challenge. This was another fun activity which saw the children working in two teams: the reds and the blues. Each team competed against the other on the challenge course, a timed dodgeball challenge and an inflatable football game. This was another fun activity that was enjoyed by all in the group.

We are intrigued by the activities we will participate in tomorrow!
