May The Force Be With You

Our new topic for this half term is May The Force Be With You where we will be learning all about forces. In science we have started off learning about contact and non contact forces. We discussed gravity, friction, air resistance and push and pull forces. We went onto the playground to play some games and think about how all of these are affecting what we were doing. We played tug of war and discussed the pull force and we threw and caught balls and discussed the push force in play and what happens when forces are unbalanced. We also thought about how gravity works on the ball when the forces become balanced again.
