Little Red Riding Hood.

This week's story is Little Red Riding Hood.  The children listened to the story, then used their sounds to write keywords.  They used scissors to cut out Little Red Riding Hood, then stuck a red cape to her.  In maths, children have been learning all about the numbers 6, 7 and 8.  They have used the part-whole model to explore the composition of these numbers.  One of our challenges this week was to use a knife to butter some bread.  The children could choose to spread jam or marmalade onto the bread and then eat it!  The children have also used the clay to create a basket of yummy food for Red Riding Hood.
