7 and 11 times tables and related division facts.

This week in Maths we have been looking at the 7 and 11 times tables. We started off by identifying the answers we already knew based on our previous learning on times tables. For instance, we knew the answer to 7 x 5 as it was the same as 5 x 7 as we know our five times table. We also looked at the arrays that these times tables created and used these to identify the division facts that we then knew because of the 'families' of numbers. i.e. 12, 3 and 4 are a family because 3 x 4 = 12 and 12 divided by 4 = 3. We also played some times table games to improve our quick recall of the 7 times table- a notoriously tricky times table!
