Today in comprehension, we made predictions and continued our work on the USA by looking in more depth at New York City. First, we learnt some facts about New York and the things that people go to see. We then read parts of a script from a tour guide in New York and after each section, we had to make predictions about what he would say next. We used the text to help us to make our predictions and used it as evidence to support our ideas but we also used our previous learning about the main attractions and the facts about them to justify our predictions.
