Diwali

This week the children have listened to the story, 'The best Diwali ever!'  They have learnt about Diwali and why it is celebrated.  They have listened to the story of Rama and Sita.  They have then created their own diva lamps using paper, gems and sparkly things!  They have used coloured sand to create a Rangoli pattern. For their English work, the children have used their story ordering from last week to then add sounds and words to the story map.  In maths, the children have matched numerals 1-5 with picture representations of the number.  They have also sorted numbers into three and not three.
