Comparing Numbers to 10,000

Today we played a game in small groups where we each had a grid of thousands, hundreds, tens and ones. We took it in turns to roll a die four times, each time deciding which column to place each digit in.

The objective of the game was to make the highest number! We compared the numbers by first looking at the thousands column, then the hundreds, then the tens and finally the ones. Can you see who has won?

We then challenged ourselves to see if we could make the lowest number with the digits rolled.
