Hindu Sacred Texts

This week we learned about Hindu sacred texts and how many stories were first shared through spoken tradition. We explored how stories can change when passed on from memory by listening to a story and having to retell it to our partner, before watching the story of Krishna and Sudhama. We discussed how some Hindus see such stories as literal truth while others focus on the deeper meaning — in this case, that true friendship and love are more important than wealth or status. They finished the lesson by reflecting on these values through a true or false activity.
