Looking closely at the digestive system!

In Science, we have been looking at the human digestive system. Today we made the digestive system! We used a jug and a knife to represent the teeth, a tube to represent the oesophagus and a plastic bag to represent the stomach. We then used some tights and a sock to represent the intestines and a cup to represent the anus. Our 'body' ate some biscuits and some Dorritos and we added saliva in the 'mouth' and 'acid' in the stomach. There was a lot of 'ewwing' from the children at various points of the food's journey but we successfully made a poo, which they were very excited by!
