Area of Irregular Shapes

Yesterday, we moved on to the area of irregular shapes. Our method of calculating the area of composite shapes from last lesson doesn’t work with irregular shapes, so today we have looked at using whole and part squares to estimate area! We did this for our hand spans, fists and then shapes made by letters of the alphabet!
