Emperor Moths

Miss Wagstaff's dad gave the class 10 Emperor Moth cocoons to watch hatch and become fully grown moths. The moth cocoons spent the first few months in the fridge so they could hatch when it got warmer and then they were placed in the classroom last week. Today, 5 of the moths hatched and will be released later on in the pond area. It has been very exciting to watch them emerge from their silk cocoons.
