Compositions and notation

This afternoon, we completed our Twinkle Twinkle variations unit by completing our own Theme and Variations Compositions. In pairs, we selected which line we wanted to use as our 'theme' and then composed three variations and a coda. Finally, we considered dynamics - adding 'forte' or 'piano' - and tempo, particularly thinking about if we wanted to add a 'rallentando' to our coda. Mrs Cox was impressed with our notation, carefully considering whether crotchets, minims or quavers we needed.
