Portraits

The previous week, the children had to create a portrait of themselves using a continuous line. This meant they could not lift the pencil from the paper. The children did an excellent job at this and had to realise that perfection was not the key in this task as that was hard to do without lifting the pencil. The children then placed a piece of tracing paper over their portraits and using the outlines, copied a poem about courage, so the word became the portrait. Finally, the children created a background, using layered tissue paper that represented them. The final part of this art project will be completed in the next lesson, so look out for some amazing portraits!
