Making Secondary Colours

We have started our art sessions off with a bang! After naming primary colours and using these to create our own art inspired by Mondrian, we moved onto thinking about how to make secondary colours. We could, of course, have just mixed the paints together in pots, but we thought we'd get creative! We used the story 'Mixed, a colourful story' to learn about these mixes before using our hands as tools. We painted primary colours onto each palm before smushing and mixing together the paint. It certainly was a fun-filled lesson.
