Shadow Art
In Art this half term, we have looked at the work of Sokari Douglas Camp. focusing on her piece 'All the world is now richer'. It features six life-sized figures representing stages of slavery and attached to each figure is a poignant phrase or word cut out of metal. We took the idea of using strips of metal to create a word and made our own words out of strips of paper. We chose words that we thought represented us. We then tried to create a shadow or figure to accompany the word that went well with the shadow.i.e. the people holding the word 'sporty' tried to do a sporty pose. Did we succeed? Can you identify us from our shadows?
