Array of sunshine in maths

Today in Year 1, the children have been exploring arrays as part of our maths learning. After building a strong understanding of equal groups, they have now moved on to arranging objects into rows and columns to create their own arrays.

This hands-on approach helps the children to represent numbers in different ways and deepen their understanding of how equal groups can be combined. It also supports their addition skills, as they begin to see patterns and connections in numbers.
