Investigating nets

This week, we have continued our work on shape. This morning, we thought carefully about the properties of our 3D shapes, in terms of vertices, edges and faces. We played a little matching game to match the nets to the 3D shapes. We then investigated the nets of a cube. We knew that there were 11 possibilities, we just had to figure them out. Using squared paper and magnetic polydron, we tried to find all of the different possibilities. Some of us managed to find 10 of them! Great investigating year 6!
