Welcoming Babies

In RE we have been learning about how different religions welcome new babies. We talked about all the different ceremonies and how people also welcome babies who do not follow a religion. During our discussion around how babies are welcomed into Islam we got to have a go at weighing hair and gold as a gift to the poor and we got to try dates and honey as these are often put under the babies tongue too.
