Retelling a persuasive text
This morning we continued with our work on persuasive adverts by focusing on an advert: ‘The Multi-Function Mobile Phone. We read the first few paragraphs of the advert before getting to grips with our model text. We then mapped out the text with images to help us to learn and understand the structure as well as identify how AFOREST has been used effectively to help engage the reader. We will be using the features of AFOREST in our persuasive writing later in the week: Alliteration, Facts, Opinions, Repetition/Rhetorical questions, Exaggeration/Emotive language, Statistics and Three (rule of).
