Zoetropes and Naming Ceremonies

This week we have made zoetropes. An ancient animating device where when you spin it it appears as if the pictures of moving. 
 

In RE we have been learning about how different religions welcome babies. Today we learnt about how they welcome babies in Hindu Dharma. We discussed naming ceremonies and how names are important in Hinduism as they are believed to be an influence on the child's destiny and personality. We learnt about the origin of our own names.
