Weddings and Birthdays

This week we have been thinking all about weddings and birthdays.  We have read the story of 'The Scarecrows Wedding' and completed a story map to go with it.  The children have learnt about weddings from different cultures and wrote wedding and birthday invitations in the writing area.  They have also looked at wedding pictures of familiar adults and discussed what they could see.  In maths, children have learnt about height and length using non-standard units of measurement. They have ordered length and height using the correct vocabulary.
