Observational drawing

Today we explored observational drawing using oil pastels. The children chose a fruit or vegetable and were encouraged to look closely at its colours, patterns, shapes and textures before creating their own detailed drawing. We ended with a class gallery, where everyone enjoyed admiring each other’s work and sharing what they liked.
