Digital Artists

We explored digital art on the computers using the Paint programme. The children learned how to select appropriate tools and practised drawing with the paintbrush and pencil before experimenting with creating different shapes. We looked at the work of Matisse for inspiration and had a go at drawing squares and using the fill tool to add colour. The children also tried the circle shape tool to make their own Kandinsky-style circle patterns.

We will be printing the children’s work to create a collaborative digital art display for our classroom, celebrating their creativity and growing confidence with technology.
