Multiplying fractions!

Today, in maths, we worked in small groups to create a jigsaw based on multiplying two fractions together. After discussing how we can multiply two fractions together, we used our times tables knowledge to help us figure out which tile went where. We also used our knowledge of simplifying to help us when finding the answers to some of the questions.

After we had completed this challenge, we used what we had already learnt to help us with multiplying fractions by integers. We also worked to see if we could give our answers in a different way: as mixed numbers.
