Music

In Music, we have been listen to Bobby McFerrin talk about the importance of the pentatonic scale. A pentatonic scale is a five-note musical scale used in many genres, from folk and traditional music to rock and blues. Unlike a seven-note scale, it removes two notes to create a simpler, more consonant sound that is easy for beginners to use for improvisation. We have been improvising on the glockenspiels using the notes of a pentatonic scale and introduced a 'blue note' to our improvisations. We have also been practising our group singing.
