Comprehension: Black History Month

Today in comprehension, we took part in an exciting Now Press Play experience all about Rosa Parks. This month, we have been learning about inspiring people from Black History, including Nelson Mandela, Mo Farah, and now Rosa Parks.

We listened carefully to the story of Rosa’s life and learned how her brave actions helped to make the world a fairer place. After the story, we answered questions about what we had heard and discussed why Rosa Parks is remembered as such an important person in history. The children showed fantastic listening and thoughtful ideas!
