The Greek vs Persian Wars

This week in our history lesson, the children learnt about the Persian Empire and how they tried to defeat the Greek army over several wars. The Persians sent warriors to the Greek peninsula to squash the Greeks. They attempted three times to conquer the Greeks at the famous battles of Marathon, Thermopylae and Salamis. The children drew pictures with explanations to describe the three great Wars.
