Glockenspiels

This week in music, we learnt to play the tune of Tony Chestnut on the glockenspiels. The children worked hard to learn each line of the song and practise playing together in groups. We even had a few confident solos! 

As we learnt the piece, we looked at the musical stave and identified one-beat and two-beat notes. We discussed how these notes are called minims and crotchets and practised recognising them as we played.
