Emperor Moths

Last year, we successfully bred Emperor moth cocoons and after 7 months it was time to take the cocoons out of the cold to warm up and hopefully emerge. This week many of the cocoons have hatched and out emerged the beautiful Emperor moths. The moths do not live for long as their only role is to reproduce, so we also have many eggs ready to hatch in the next few weeks into caterpillars.
