The Explorer ~ Dictionaries, explanations and summaries

Today in Comprehension, we have read Chapter 2 of 'The Explorer' story. We started by reading the chapter as a class. Lots of children were keen to read aloud and did an excellent job of this, using expression brilliantly! As we read, we highlighted new and unfamiliar words. We then used dictionaries, both as a book and online, to write a short definition of the word. Finally, we summarised our understanding of the chapter as an illustration to demonstrate what we had read and inferred about this chapter. Excellent work from 5VN today!
