Group 1 - Abseiling and Zipline/Caving

After breakfast this morning, we headed off to our first activity of the day with our instructors! We started on the abseiling/zipline activities; this was a great chance for us to see the whole site from a high view and alleviate some early morning nerves. After putting on our harnesses, we ascended the tower and began our abseils to the ground! This was great fun and we were incredibly impressed by all the children’s courage, kindness and support towards each other during both activities.

After a short break, we completed our second activity of the morning: caving. This was great fun and other change of pace from scaling the heights of the Pioneer Centre. Moving together as a pack, the children worked together to move through the darkness and negotiate the twists and turns of the caving system. Another fun activity and a wonderful end to our morning at Pioneer!
