Number lines and estimating

During this lesson, the children showed a strong understanding of how to estimate where numbers belong on a number line to 20. They confidently used their counting skills and knowledge of number order to make sensible estimates. Many were able to explain their thinking, often referring to nearby numbers or the halfway point to support their ideas. It was great to see children checking, refining and justifying their estimates as they worked.
