District Cross Country Championships

Today, a team of Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 children represented the school at the District Cross Country Championships at Courteenhall Estate. This is a wonderful, picturesque location for a sporting competition!

During the event, the children competed in a boys and girls race for each year group. As you can see from the pictures below, it was amazing to see our children mixing between year groups for their warm-ups. We had some brilliant success during the competition: two top 5 finishes, four top 10 finishes and a number of children placing in the top 20!

I was wonderful to see respect, kindness and courage being demonstrated by all of our children throughout the event. The support and sportsmanship on show was truly heart-warming and made for a special afternoon!

Well done to the 50 children who participated today!
