Our current class text is Skellig by David Almond; we all have our own copies. We have been immersing ourselves in the text both with our reading and with our writing. On Tuesday, we were focusing on making predictions, carefully considering what we already knew and using that to help us form realistic predictions. We recognised that we couldn’t just simply guess; we had to look back at the text to find evidence that hinted at what could happen in the subsequent chapters. It was great to see the children flicking through the book, looking at the chapters read so far, in order to inform their predictions.
