Dear Parents,
It is with immense pride and joy that I announce that our school has been awarded an Outstanding grading by Ofsted, the Office for Standards in Education. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment of our entire school community.
While our school had previously held an Outstanding rating, it is important to note that this was 15 years ago, and since then, the educational framework has undergone two significant changes. To receive such a prestigious grading under the current standards is a remarkable feat, showcasing our continued excellence and adaptability over many years.
What makes this achievement even more extraordinary is that over the past 14 months, our school has undergone a transitional period in some key staffing areas. We have welcomed new leaders into our team, including a new Headteacher, Deputy Head, Assistant Head, Early Years Lead, Phase Leader, Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), School Business Manager and Chair of Governors. Whilst these changes could have caused a period of stagnation, or even decline, our school has not only maintained its strength, but has propelled forward with resolute determination.
None of this would have been possible without the support and dedication of our incredible parents,
Governors, Friends of Woodland View, volunteers, and the wider school family, including the Grange Park Church. Your belief in our vision and tireless contributions have played an integral role in our success. Together, we have created an environment where children flourish.
As Headteacher, I am filled with gratitude for the extraordinary staff and wonderful children who make our school truly special. Their commitment to excellence, boundless enthusiasm, and eagerness to learn have set the foundation for this fantastic achievement. It is their brilliance that shone through during the inspection.
While we celebrate this accomplishment, I want to assure you that our ambition does not waver. We remain steadfast in our commitment to providing the best possible education for your children. Together, we will continue to push boundaries, explore new horizons, and create an even more enriching experience for our pupils so that our motto ‘Inspire, Enjoy, Achieve’ continues to be more than just words on a page – it is lived every day in our school.
Thank you for being an integral part of our journey, for your trust, and for standing by us during these transformative times. With your support, I am confident that our school will continue to flourish and inspire generations to come.
After all, we are not a normal school.

We are Woodland View.
Yours sincerely,
Mark Horsley
Headteacher
