This week we have been wrapping up our work on the Wars of the World by looking at the role that morse code and coded messages have played in different conflicts.

We took some time focussing on morse code and the history of this form of communication. After looking at the creation and history, we then explored how we could send coded messages (using morse code) by using a simple electrical circuit. We started by setting up the circuits, testing the efficiency of the bulbs and batteries, before creating messages in morse code. One group would send a message and the others would have to decode what had just been sent.

This was a very fun way of exploring a different way of communicating and one that was used in world conflict!
