In maths this week, we have been continuing to focus on our place value including recognsing the value of digits in 3-digit numbers, and estimating where numbers would go on a number line to 1000. This provoked our thinking to consider what half of 10, 100 and 1000 is, and then 1/4 and 3/4.
In our History session, we looked at how the Athenians used a special formation (the phalanx) to win the Persian War. We also discussed in our groups which factors we thought were most and least important for the armies.
