In our DT unit, we have been designing poppies to create a shared artistic poppy installation in readiness for Remembrance Day. The children have been challenged to create a poppy with at least two layers, demonstrate at least two different types of stitches and possibly attach a button too.

This week, we created prototypes out of paper which allowed us to consider the steps needed when piecing together our final products and then we set to work on the sewing! We were amazed by the skills shown and can’t wait to see the final poppies!
