We’ve had a busy week settling into year 1. We’ve had lots of fun and learnt a lot too!

We’ve learnt lots in science this week. We talked about forces, thinking about how things are moved by pushing or pulling them. We also compared how different objects and animals move with either legs, wings or wheels. We went on a sound hunt around school, thinking about the different sources of sounds we could hear. We have had lots of fun in maths too. We have been sorting different objects depending on their characteristics (size, shape, colour) and we’ve been counting and recognising numbers to 10.

We got creative this week too. We were working with different textures to make a 3D picture of a Jolly Roger flag.
