This week we have been focussing on the book “The day the crayons quit”. This is an amazing picture book with very carefully crafted characters. There is such a depth of characterisation within each page and it’s this that we have been focusing on this week. We have considered the feelings of each crayon and delved into each of their character traits too using a zones of relevance task.

This morning we held a chat show to get to know the crayons even more. We made sure our questions were open questions to prompt the crayon to share more about themselves. We also used our summarising skills to write a clear, concise introduction for our selected crayon to start the show.
