We are having a fun start to Year 2! We are reading Julia Donaldson’s story ‘The Smeds and the Smoos’ and have been doing lots of learning activities about the story. This week we have been learning the story characters and settings and we have found lots of new, interesting words. We have found our way through mazes, created playdoh characters and made Pom Pom aliens. We’ve even made ourselves into Smeds and Smoos (more photos of this to come…) Today we have been learning how our body language and voices can express emotions to enable us to become fully immersed in the story.
