York Chocolate Story

Today has been all about chocolate! Each group took part in a workshop and tour where they found out about how chocolate is made and became chocolatiers themselves! All of the children made a white chocolate lolly and milk chocolate slab. The children should come home with these too as we won’t hand them out until we are nearly home; they might even share! Their behaviour has been fantastic and this was highlighted by the staff who told us we were one of the best schools that they have visit!

We also took a tour of York, picking out some of the key sights, particularly those related to chocolate! As part of this, we walked down the shambles – an alleyway that was inspiration for the way that Diagon Alley looked in the film adaptation of Harry Potter – and visited one of the many Harry Potter shops: The shop that must not be named.
