Today, as part of Science week, we learnt how fossils are formed and how scientists use them to look for evidence of changes over time. Then, we had a great time fossil hunting! We carefully excavated chocolate chips from cookies using tooth picks! It was tricky to get them out in one piece, without disturbing the surrounding ‘ground’ too much. Mrs Hodgson and Mr Johnson awarded us (imaginary) money for all the complete and incomplete fossils, we managed to extract successfully and fined us for breaking our tools and damaging the ground! There are some super fossil hunters amongst us; Mary Anning would be proud! 🙂
