This week we have revised 3D shapes. We have talked about them in relation to the number of vertices, edges and faces. We then went on to consider how 3D shapes are made from a net, which is a 2D representation of the shape – we talked about how it was like unfolding a box to see the card flat. As part of our lesson we completed a matching task where we had to match the 3D shape images with their corresponding net. Finally, we furthered our understanding by investigating the different ways that a net of a cube could be set out.
