Today we have been publishing our diary entries. After doing lots of work on “The Iron Man” by Ted Hughes this term, we have been building up to being able to write diary entries as Hogarth, the young boy character in the story. The children have worked really hard on including all of the features that we would expect to find in a diary, such as time connectives and thoughts and feelings, and then have done an amazing job of stepping into Hogarth’s shoes to recount some main events from the story. The classroom has been filled with ambient music and gentle lighting as the children did an super job of “blue-writing” their work!
